Human behavior is food for art. What do you show. What do you hide. We camouflage our vulnerability. With masks. To disguise reality. But then what is reality?
In her works Linda Moes investigates human stories. Personal experiences and events are a source of inspiration. But also the stories that arise on the canvas drive her: what happens to the surfaces, the colors, the figures and the skin of the work. Abstraction and figuration alternate. From innocent scenes to melancholic images. Constantly looking for a balance between order and chaos. Until the story is being told or a feeling is put down. Look, that's how we play our lives Linda's work shows her love for theater. It holds us a mirror: look, that's how we play our lives. Full of beauty and misunderstandings. We think we can protect our vulnerability, the undercurrent, where the real stories happen. The stories you're born with, or that you make on the way. In her work, Linda grasps the invisible stories, intuitively, from that undercurrent. |
